800th Anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi & 250th Anniversary of Mission Dolores

This year marks the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, 1226–2026, the Patron Saint of the Order of Alhambra, as well as the 250th anniversary of Misión San Francisco de Asís, Mission Dolores.

At 11:00 a.m., the Missa Sancti Juniperi Serra will be celebrated at Mission Dolores by Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone, with Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ, serving as homilist. A reception will follow in the auditorium, hosted by the Benedict XVI Institute.

Members of the Order will have the opportunity to attend in regalia and speak with attendees about the Order of Alhambra, our history, our patron saint, and our charitable work.
