About The Order of Alhambra

Our Mission

Throughout Region VIII, members of the Order of Alhambra put their Catholic faith into action through service, remembrance, and fellowship. We support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preserve important chapters of Catholic history, and strengthen friendships among members who share a commitment to doing good.

 

Our mission is expressed through three central purposes:​​

Charity: Serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and supporting those who care for them.

​

Catholic History: Preserving the people, places, and events that tell the story of our Catholic heritage.

​

Sociability: Forming lasting friendships and building a community united by faith, fellowship, and service.

​

Together, these purposes call us to remember our history, care for our neighbors, and strengthen the bonds that allow us to accomplish more than we could alone.
